National Search for Music Ministry Leadership in Prince Georges County, Maryland / Washington, DC

Prominent 4000+ member African American, Baptist congregation with multiple Sunday services, plust mid-week/other monthly services and frequent church events.  Large, active music and arts ministry with choirs (including children and youth), praise teams, musicians, liturgical dance, drama, and deaf ministries.  Seeking Spirit-led, mature individuals with the following qualifications:

• Minimum 3-6 years of music ministry leadership experience
• Superior keyboard skills, including the ability tot read, transpose, arrange and play diverse musical styles and genres (hymns, spirituals, gospel, and choral music).
• Strong teaching/directing skills, including the ability to teach and conduct diverse styles and a fundamental understanding of good vocal/choral technique
• Strong communications, organizational, motivational and resource skills;
• Proven leadership in planning worship, programs, and range of special events
